5Goals
Pick 5 goals, give up the rest - Buffett's 5/25 rule
5Goals turns Warren Buffett's 5/25 rule into an app: write down up to 25 things you want, promote the top 5 to goals, and consciously give up the rest. Most goal apps help you add more. 5Goals helps you subtract. The Give-ups list is a feature, not a trash bin. - Goal Helper: principle cards from Buffett, Munger, Jobs and more - Daily steps and progress log - Home Screen widget that keeps your 5 goals in sight - Daily reminders - Sync across iOS and Android
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Seongmin, the solo maker of 5Goals.
I first shipped it in 2020 after reading about Buffett's advice to his pilot: list 25 goals, circle 5, and treat the other 20 as your "avoid at all costs" list. That last part is what most goal apps skip, so it became the core of the app.
This year I rebuilt it from scratch: new design, Android support with sync, a widget, and a Goal Helper with principle cards from people like Buffett and Munger.
The web preview runs on Google Cloud Run and keeps your list on your device. A full web version with sign-in and sync across iOS, Android and web is next on my roadmap.
I'd love to hear what's on your list of 5, and what you had the hardest time giving up.
