We built 20byte to solve the fragmentation plaguing service-based businesses that run their entire operations through WhatsApp—juggling separate tools for chats, spreadsheets, invoicing, and ad management, which made it nearly impossible to track which Meta ad actually converted into revenue. Inspired by the need to "close the loop" from first message to paid invoice, we started with a simple attribution tool, but as we integrated WhatsApp via Baileys, built a sales pipeline with Next.js, and added Meta Conversions API for server-side tracking, we realized the real value lay in automation; this pushed us to expand the platform into a full-featured, open-source CRM with an AI sales assistant and a visual marketing automation builder, evolving far beyond our initial vision into a cohesive workspace where every conversation, deal, and ad dollar is fully traceable.
