I built 2048 Cupcakes because I wanted to keep the simple mechanics of 2048, but make the progression more visual and fun. Instead of watching numbers get bigger, you merge cupcakes and see them evolve into the next one.
What started as one game gradually became a small collection. I added Doge 2048 and Princess 2048, while keeping the same lightweight game core behind them.
I kept the project intentionally simple. It’s built with plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, works on desktop and mobile, and saves your game locally in the browser.
Most of the time went into the small details: responsive controls, merge feedback, themed artwork, local saves, and making each version feel consistent without changing the familiar 2048 rules.
