Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Gajendra, maker of Zync.

The idea started pretty simply: I wanted an SSH workspace with a better and less complicated UX, without having basic features hidden behind subscriptions or feature paywalls. I also wanted it to be local-first, so your workspace stays on your machine instead of requiring a cloud account.

Zync is a desktop SSH workspace, currently includes:

• Local terminal (PowerShell, CMD, WSL, Bash, etc.)
• SSH sessions
• SFTP file manager
• Port forwarding
• Encrypted local vault for credentials
• Optional encrypted backups to your own Google Drive
• Snippets and command palette
• Themes and plugins
• AI agent mode BYOK (still being polished)

It's open source (MIT), free to use, and local-first.

Excited to hear what you think, especially if you regularly work with terminals and remote servers. Any feedback or feature requests are very welcome! 🙌
