Zvena
Design, docs and tasks. One ecosystem. Open source. Jev AI
Zvena connects design, docs and projects in one open-source workspace. Design interfaces, embed live design frames in specifications, and turn decisions into tasks linked to their source. Keep visual references and implementation context together as your product evolves. Workflow rules and Jev AI-assisted suggestions help organize work. Start with the free hosted version or self-host.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I’m building Zvena, an open-source workspace that connects design, documents and project management.
When a design changes, its specification can fall behind. When a decision becomes a task, the explanation behind it can get lost. Keeping those pieces connected often becomes extra work.
Zvena brings them into one environment:
🎨 Design — create interfaces with vector editing, auto layout, reusable components and prototypes.
📝 Docs — write specifications, organize knowledge and embed live Design frames alongside your requirements.
✅ Projects — turn actionable items into issues and keep them linked to their source documents.
Here’s the workflow I’d love you to try: design a screen, embed it in a specification, explain the behavior, and create an implementation task from the document. The task keeps its context, and the embedded design preview can reflect changes to the source.
Zvena also includes databases, calendar and email connections, workflow rules, and Jev AI-assisted suggestions for organizing work.
You can use the free hosted version or self-host. The source is public: the main application uses AGPL-3.0, and the Design component builds on Penpot under MPL-2.0.

Where does context most often get lost in your workflow—between design and documentation, or between decisions and tasks?
I’d love to hear what works for you and what needs improving. Thanks for taking a look!

Who hunted Zvena?
Zvena was hunted by Ethan Mercer. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
