zStudio
Design production-ready canvas scenes without layout code
zStudio is an AI powered visual UI and layout editor for game developers. Design scenes once and export them to Pixi.js, Phaser, or html sites — free to download.
I’m Jon, the creator of zStudio. As a graphics and systems architect working with lightweight web engines for over 15 years, I kept running into the exact same frustrating bottleneck: modern web graphic engines have no visual interfaces. Whenever we build high-performance web experiences, playable ads, or iGaming titles in PixiJS or Phaser, developers are forced to manually position every single element using raw code (sprite.x = 140; sprite.y = 250;). It creates an endless, exhausting "creative ping-pong" between design and engineering, wasting up to 30% of a developer's sprint just on layout maintenance.
I built zStudio to completely decouple this pipeline. It’s a non-intrusive visual IDE that empowers artists to visually construct production-ready scenes, complex responsive layouts (portrait vs. landscape), and keyframe animations directly. Developers are left entirely free to handle core game logic—loading the full visual hierarchy into their existing game loop via a lightweight, 5-line JSON runtime interpreter.
Some of our favorite features baked into the beta:
A Complete Asset Tooling Suite: Native Photoshop importer, built-in Spine support, and automatic texture atlas packing.
The Adobe Flash/Animate "Liferaft": A beta layout importer to help teams rapidly migrate legacy asset frameworks straight into modern web canvas pipelines.
AI/MCP Server Integration: A built-in Model Context Protocol server that allows external AI assistants (like Claude/Cursor) to directly manipulate your visual canvas hierarchies via terminal CLI.
zStudio is completely free to get started with for the community. I am incredibly eager to hear your feedback, technical critiques, and ideas on how we can make front-end web graphics development frictionless.
I’ll be active in the comments all day—ask me anything! 🚀

Who hunted zStudio?
zStudio was hunted by Yonny Zohar. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
