Zero-Trust PDF Studio
Redact, inspect and clean PDFs without uploading them
Zero-Trust PDF Studio is a set of privacy-first PDF tools that run entirely in your browser. Redact sensitive information, detect failed redactions and hidden content, inspect and remove metadata, and flatten PDFs without uploading the document to a server. Marked pages are rebuilt so covered text is actually removed, and exported files are checked again for leftover text, metadata, attachments and scripts. No account, watermark or file limit.
I built Zero-Trust PDF Studio around a simple idea: sensitive PDFs should not have to be uploaded somewhere else just to redact or inspect them.
The tools run in the browser and cover four jobs: redacting sensitive content, checking PDFs for failed redactions and hidden content, inspecting and removing metadata, and flattening forms.
The redaction implementation was the part that changed how I thought about the product. An earlier version looked correctly redacted but could leave original page content inside the PDF. Instead of hiding that failure, I documented it and rebuilt the engine so marked pages are rasterized and inserted into a completely new PDF. The downloaded file is then opened again and checked for things that should not have survived.
I’ve also added a page showing how to test the privacy claims yourself, including running the tool after disconnecting from the network and watching browser network traffic.
I’d appreciate feedback particularly on the verification workflow, privacy explanation and whether the limitations are clear enough.
