I’m one of the creators of Zeitbro, and I want to share a quick story of how this project started.
When I moved to Germany, I completely underestimated how complex the local holiday and labor tracking system could be. One day, I drove 20 km to the office only to find a locked door—it was a regional holiday I knew nothing about.
To track my hours, I tried everything: paper notes, phone alarms, and giant Excel sheets that kept breaking. I noticed my colleagues were doing the same—everyone had their own "Frankenstein" Excel file, wasting hours at the end of the month just to sync with the corporate HR system.
Most tools on the market (like Toggl or Clockify) are built for freelancers to bill clients. Regular office or industrial employees are left out. They fly blind, guessing their overtime and break deductions.
So, we built Zeitbro. A minimalist, beautiful utility that works for the employee, not the HR department.
