Zancada
Your walking pad steps, finally in Fitbit and Health Connect
Walk under your desk and your watch counts almost nothing, because your hands are on the keyboard. Zancada reads the walk from the treadmill itself over Bluetooth (KingSmith WalkingPad, FitShow and FTMS belts), lets you control it from your phone and saves every walk with steps, distance and speed to Health Connect. No account, no ads, no servers.
Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Víctor, the maker.
I work at a standing desk with a walking pad under it. My watch barely counted a step while I walked, and the pad's own app kept the numbers to itself. So I built Zancada: it talks to the belt over Bluetooth and writes each walk to Health Connect, where Fitbit and Google Health pick it up.
The fun part was the treadmills. KingSmith pads use a proprietary protocol and silently drop commands sent less than 700 ms apart. A pause doesn't end a run (the belt keeps its counters until it drops to standby), and FTMS belts don't count steps at all, so those are estimated from published cadence data and labelled as such.
It's Android only. The first three walks are free, then a one-off purchase. If you have a walking pad from a brand I haven't tested, I'd love to know whether it connects.

Who hunted Zancada?
Zancada was hunted by Víctor Falcón. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
