Most organizations have no idea which of their PDFs are accessible, and that's a real problem now that the European Accessibility Act is in full effect.
Here's what we kept seeing at Cardan, our accessibility consultancy: organizations would hire us for an audit, we'd flag dozens of non-compliant PDFs, they'd fix them and six months later their teams had published 200 new ones with the same issues. No one was watching. No one had a system.
The existing tools didn't help either. PAC is free but spits out technical PDF/UA error codes that communication teams can't act on. Adobe Acrobat Pro is expensive and only one person uses it. Neither gives you an organizational overview.
So the problem we're solving is this: organizations need to know, in plain language, which of their PDFs are compliant and stay on top of it continuously, not just after an audit.
