Hey Product Hunt, I’m Hassan, the solo founder behind YouMatter. I started building this because I kept seeing the same thing everywhere: people struggling quietly, hiding what they’re really feeling, and only opening up when they finally felt safe enough not to be judged. Before YouMatter, I spent time as a volunteer listener on 7 Cups, where I supported dozens of people through real emotional moments. Later, while managing large creator communities, I saw the same pattern at scale: people don’t always need a lecture, a diagnosis, or generic advice. Sometimes they need something private, patient, and consistent enough to help them slow down, understand themselves, and take the next step forward. That’s what YouMatter is meant to become. YouMatter is a privacy-first AI wellness companion built around chat, journaling, mood tracking, guided programs, breathing tools, memory, and emotional self-reflection. It is not therapy, and it does not replace professional care, but it is designed to give people a safe place to process what they are feeling and build healthier patterns over time. I built this solo with a cybersecurity-first mindset because privacy matters deeply in this space. People should not have to trade their most vulnerable thoughts for support.
