YouGuide is the automatic proximity audio guide app. Walk, listen, and discover the secret history of every corner of Argentina without touching your phone.
I built this app because I was tired of walking past breathtaking buildings and historic corners in Argentina feeling like I was just looking at "old walls." Google Maps is incredible for getting from point A to point B, but it lacks the "soul" and the stories that make a place meaningful. I wanted to solve the "empty tourism" problem—where you see everything but understand nothing.
My process evolved significantly during development. I started wanting to build a "better map," but I soon realized that the real value wasn't in the navigation—Google already nailed that—but in the curated storytelling. We decided to focus on quality over quantity, manually mapping the "Side B" of 360+ sites across 45+ Argentine cities to ensure every story is worth hearing.
I'm launching in Beta for Android, focusing deep on Argentina to perfect the user experience before scaling to new territories and platforms.
