👋 Hi Product Hunt! Why I built it: every day thousands of people across Europe give away perfectly good things (sofas, prams, desks, guitars), but those listings are scattered over a different classifieds site in every country, each in its own language. Why Europe as a whole? Because people here are always on the move. Students start a new semester in another country, young professionals relocate for work, expats arrive in a city where they don't speak the language yet, and families move house and need to furnish a new home. Every move means furniture, kitchenware and books left behind in one place and needed in another. But local classifieds are in the local language, and newcomers often don't even know which sites to check. yeybu brings it all together: whether you are a student, a young professional, an expat, a family settling in, or a local looking for something nearby, you can find free items in your city, in your own language. What yeybu does: it brings free-to-collect listings from 10 classifieds sites in 10 European countries into one place, around 245k items right now. Search in your own language and it finds matches in the local one: type "bookshelf" and you'll also get Bücherregal, boekenkast and bogreol. Items near you come first, because a free sofa three countries away helps nobody. Every listing links straight to the original ad, so you contact the giver directly. No fees, no account needed. The hard part wasn't collecting listings, it was trust. "Free" often turns out to mean free with a purchase, a want-ad, a service or a disguised business ad. Every new listing now goes through a language-aware check before it appears on the site. Listings are also re-checked against their source and removed once they're gone, so what you see is still available. Why it matters: every item reused is one less thrown away and one less bought new. It's especially useful if you're relocating, studying abroad or furnishing a first home somewhere new. I'd love your honest feedback, especially on whether the cross-language search finds you something useful. That's the part I'm most curious about. Thanks for checking it out! 💜
