One website has visa information, another explains transportation, another lists attractions, another compares hotels, and another discusses budgets. The information is scattered, inconsistent, and quickly becomes overwhelming—especially for first-time visitors. We wanted to create a single place where travelers could plan with confidence instead of spending hours piecing everything together. That vision became Yen Wanders. Over the past few months, we've continuously refined the platform based on one question: "What would make planning a trip to Japan simpler, faster, and more useful?" As we built, the project evolved far beyond a traditional travel blog. We added destination guides, practical travel articles, a budget planner, a downloadable Japan Starter Kit, Sakura AI to help answer travel questions, and carefully selected affiliate recommendations that fit naturally into the planning experience rather than interrupting it. One lesson we learned during development is that features alone don't create a great product. We spent a significant amount of time simplifying navigation, improving accessibility, organizing content more clearly, strengthening security, and making the experience feel intuitive for someone planning their very first Japan trip. This launch is just the beginning. We're excited to continue expanding destination coverage, improving Sakura AI, adding smarter planning tools, and learning directly from the travel community.
