YChat
Do things together online, even when you're apart
YChat is your virtual hangout for watching, browsing, shopping, and exploring the internet together in real time. Turn everyday online activities into shared experiences with friends and family, all within one app. From watch parties to discovering products and exploring websites together, YChat brings people closer through the things they enjoy doing online—without the hassle of sharing links or switching between apps.
Hey everyone! I'm Yasin, and I'm building YChat.
Here's the moment that made us build it. I was chatting with a friend who lives in another city, and I wanted to order dinner for her. She named a restaurant on Swiggy, but I couldn't find the right one. We spent more than 30 minutes going back and forth with screenshots and links, just to place one order.
If we could have opened the app together and browsed side by side, it would have taken two minutes.
That's the gap we want to close. We spend so much time online, yet we do almost all of it alone. YChat is a social hangout app that turns solo internet time into time spent together.
How it works:
1. Start with a chat: Talk and share content with friends, like any chat app.
2. Turn it into a Hangout: One tap starts a live shared session.
3. Experience it together: Watch, browse, talk and react in real time, as if you're on the same couch.
4. Pick up where you left off: Everything you share stays in the chat, so you can jump back in anytime.
5. Meet new people: Join Public Hangouts around things you love, like movies, travel or just a coffee chat.
We'd love your help with:
1. What's the first thing you'd do in a Hangout with your friends?
2. Any feedback on the experience, good or brutal. We're reading every comment today.
Thanks for checking us out. Come hang out with us!
YChat: more than a chat. A place to hang out together.

Who hunted YChat?
YChat was hunted by Yasin Nadaf. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
