Yard Material Tools
Embeddable yard material calculators for any website
A free, privacy-friendly yard material calculator for gravel, stone, soil, compost, mulch, sand, and fill dirt. Configure imperial or metric units, available materials, starting values, and color, then embed it with plain HTML, React, Astro, or the WordPress block and shortcode. Calculations run locally with no cookies, ads, accounts, or submitted project data.
We built Yard Material Tools after seeing homeowners repeatedly estimate gravel, mulch, and soil with calculators that only handled rectangles or hid their assumptions. The site now supports multiple shapes, printable planning estimates, an open coverage dataset, and a calculator that publishers can embed directly. The widget is dependency-free, supports imperial and metric units, and has a WordPress plugin. We would value feedback from DIY publishers and developers on the embed experience and material coverage assumptions.
