XYLO

Hi Product Hunt 👋
I’m Ralph, creator of Xylo AI.
I built Xylo because I wanted an AI assistant that feels personal, private, and fast — without needing to constantly send documents and conversations to the cloud.
Most AI apps today rely heavily on servers, subscriptions, and internet connectivity. With recent advances in on-device AI and Apple Foundation Models, I wanted to explore a different direction:
• document voice-chat directly on iPhone
• voice interaction
• image/PDF understanding
• privacy-first experience
• reduced cloud dependence
• responsive local inference
One challenge I encountered was balancing AI capability with mobile device limitations like thermal throttling, memory usage, and battery impact. A lot of engineering went into making the experience usable on real phones, not just demos.
Xylo is still evolving, and I’d genuinely love feedback from the community:
* What feels useful?
* What feels slow or confusing?
* What features would make on-device AI truly practical for everyday use?
Thanks for checking it out 🙏
