built xlied because i wanted to know what that version of me would actually say if he could write back.
every day it sends you a letter from a life you didn't live. not journaling, not a chatbot, a fixed identity that remembers your divergence and writes to you like he's lived it.
no funding when we started this. no cs background either, i'm not a programmer, i build with ai. my cofounder udbhav (iit kanpur) built the model layer. launched on linkedin two weeks ago, no ads, got 54 signups off one post.
curious what people think: if you could get one letter from a version of you who made a different call at 18, would you actually want to read it, or would it wreck you a little.
