Xeo Forge

The approval-first AI coding agent you can self-host

Xeo Forge gives AI coding agents a deliberate workflow: plan in read-only mode, review and approve the approach, then let Build mode write inside a visible workspace. Self-host it with Docker, choose an OpenAI-compatible model endpoint, follow live task events, and retain practical admin and credit controls.

Top comment

I built Xeo Forge because I wanted an AI coding agent that could move quickly without turning the workspace into a black box. Every task starts in read-only Planning mode. The agent produces a structured plan, a human approves or revises it, and only then does Build mode get write access. The project runs locally with SQLite or in Docker with PostgreSQL, and it supports OpenAI-compatible model endpoints. I would love feedback on the approval workflow, the self-hosting experience, and the boundary between useful autonomy and safe execution.
