XenFab started because I hit this problem myself. I needed something 3D printed and ended up contacting a bunch of local suppliers, sending files back and forth over WhatsApp and email, then waiting weeks just to get one part back. Most of the good 3D printing shops I found were based in South India, and there wasn't really a fast, straightforward option if you were in North India at the time (still mostly true today).
As I built it out, I noticed most other Indian platforms at the time put a login wall in front of file upload before you could even see a quote. My guess is it's because generating a real quote usually means running an actual slicer, which is compute-heavy, so gating it behind a signup both controls server costs and captures a lead before doing that work. I solved it differently: parsing happens in the browser, and pricing comes from a trained ML model instead of running a real slice, so a quote is fast and cheap enough to show instantly with no login wall, and my server bills stay predictable.
So I built XenFab to fix that gap. Upload a CAD file or STL and get an instant, automated quote, no back-and-forth, no manual estimation. We currently print in PLA and PETG and ship pan-India, with the fastest turnaround across Delhi NCR.
