X-Split

Turn long X/Twitter posts into clean, numbered threads.

1. Sentence-aware, not character-chopping. X-Split looks for ! ? first, then word boundaries. The thread reads naturally. 2. No accounts, no data, no API keys. Private by design. 3. URL-aware. Counts URLs at 23 chars matching X's t.co 4. Live re-sync. Edit your original text after splitting, and the sidebar detects the change and prompts re-split.

Hi everyone! 👋 I built X-Split because I was tired of counting characters and manually numbering threads every time I wanted to post something longer than 280 characters on X. The existing tools all make you write in a separate editor, then copy-paste to X. I wanted something that just works: no tab switching, no extra clicks. X-Split runs entirely in your browser. Type past 280 characters, and the sidebar appears with clean sentence-boundary splits. Each chunk is numbered and ready to copy. That's it. What's different: - Works inside x.com — not a separate editor - Splits at sentence boundaries (. ! ?) before falling back to word breaks - URL-aware counting (23 chars per URL, matching X's t.co) - Zero data collection, no accounts, free forever - Real-time re-sync — edit your text, it detects the change Would love your feedback — what would make this more useful for your workflow?
