Worktangle helps you see how your browsing session unfolded when you lose the thread of what you originally came to do. Start with an intention, connect the Worktangle extension, and browse normally. Worktangle records your journey and plays it back to you without deciding which websites are “productive” or “distracting.” The Chrome Web Store listing is currently under review, so early testers can download the extension directly from Worktangle.
I built Worktangle because I kept opening my laptop to do one thing and somehow ending up five tabs away from it.
Most productivity tools try to block distractions. Worktangle takes a different approach: it helps you see the path your browsing session took.
Set what you're working on, start a session, browse normally, and Worktangle records the journey so you can see how you got from your original task to wherever you ended up and find your way back.
This is an early MVP built during DoraHacks 2.0, and I'd especially love feedback on one thing:
