Workotrack

See your people on the course, live, with just a link

Workotrack puts every participant of a race, sportive or century on one live map. Participants share their position from the phone app. Everyone else opens a link: no app, no account. Positions snap to the course, so families see distance done, distance left, speed and an arrival estimate that accounts for the climbs ahead. Organisers create an event from a GPX in ten minutes and get a join code for the race pack. It runs alongside your timing, it does not replace it. Free while in pilot.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm Jorge, and I built Workotrack because of my own family. I ride a lot of long events. Six Gap in Georgia is 104 miles with 11,200 feet of climbing, and I'm riding it again on this Sunday for the fifth year in a row. Every year my family and friends drive up to support me, and every year they spend the day guessing. An AirTag or Find My shows one dot, only if you share it, and says nothing about the route, how much is left, or when to be at the finish. The official timing tells you where someone was at the last mat, not where they are. So participants share their position from the app, and everyone else opens a link and watches the whole field on the course. Because positions are snapped to the route, the map can say how far someone has gone, how fast, and when they should arrive, taking the climbs into account. Spectators install nothing. For organisers, an event is a GPX file and ten minutes. You get a join code for the race pack and a spectator link for your participant emails. It's a pilot this season, free, and I'm watching it at real events, starting with Six Gap this weekend. I'd love to hear what you'd want it to do, and where it breaks. Ask me anything.

Who hunted Workotrack?

Workotrack was hunted by Jorge Garcia. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
