WorkbookDiff

Compare two Excel files and see every supported change

Compare two XLSX workbook versions directly in your browser. WorkbookDiff separates value changes from formula-expression changes, detects added or removed sheets, visibility changes, hidden rows and columns, and used-range updates, then exports a searchable CSV difference report. No signup is required, files stay in browser memory, and the product clearly lists unsupported formats and workbook features.

Top comment

I built WorkbookDiff after seeing people review revised spreadsheets cell by cell or rely on Excel editions without Spreadsheet Compare. It focuses on one narrow job: compare two mostly aligned .xlsx versions locally, separate formula changes from value changes, surface worksheet and hidden row or column changes, and export a CSV record. It intentionally does not handle .xls or .xlsm files, macros, pivots, formatting, or row-reordered reconciliation. I would value feedback on real XLSX edge cases and the change categories you need most.
