Who hunted Wordichi?
Wordichi was hunted by Charonix. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I’m the developer behind Wordichi.
I’ve worked as a backend software engineer for around 20 years, and Wordichi started as a small side project built around a simple word-guessing game. Over time, it grew into a much larger browser game—and forced me to learn far more client-side development than I ever expected. :)
Wordichi now includes three playable game modes:
🔤 Word Guess — find hidden words from 4 to 11 letters, including daily challenges.
🧩 Crossword — solve mini, easy, and hard clue-based puzzles.
💣 Word Minesweeper — search for words inside a letter grid while identifying and avoiding hidden mines.
All three modes are connected through the same Wordichi game character and progression system. Players earn experience and coins, increase their level, unlock skills and new rooms, and manage health, hunger, happiness, and energy.
The game runs directly in the browser, requires no download, and can be played immediately as a guest. The backend is written in Go, with the important game state and validation handled on the server.
I launched Wordichi here because I would really appreciate honest feedback from the Product Hunt community.
I’m especially interested in:
• Is the first-time experience clear?
• Which of the three game modes feels strongest?
• Does the shared character progression make the games more engaging?
• What would make you return and play again?
Thanks for checking out Wordichi!
