I'm the maker of Word Ladder Daily, a free browser game built around the classic word ladder puzzle.
The rule is simple: turn one four-letter word into another by changing one letter at a time. Every step must be a valid word.
There are three ways to play and explore:
• Daily Word Ladder — one shared puzzle each day, refreshing at midnight UTC.
• Unlimited Play — keep playing with different word pairs and difficulty levels.
• Word Ladder Solver — enter two accepted four-letter words and explore a shortest route between them.
You also get gradual hints, saved progress in your current browser, and an archive of past daily puzzles. No account is required.
The solver uses breadth-first search over the game's curated English dictionary, so its results are shortest paths within that word list.
I'd especially appreciate feedback on the difficulty, the hint system, and any familiar words you think the dictionary is missing.
