Hey everyone
I’m a scientist/engineer by background and I like to build things :)
I’ve also been seriously into dog training for a few years. And what caught me off guard was how much planning, anticipation is involved and how quickly it becomes a chaos.
The brain cannot hold a training plan, life’s never-ending to-do list, and an excited dog at the same time.
So what happens? You improvise. You default to what feels familiar. And on top of that suddenly:
- a kid flies by on rollerblades,
- another dog runs up to you,
- someone appears out of nowhere…
You react, you manage it, keep everyone safe — and then it’s over.
And you’re left with: what actually happened?
I tried journaling, but it quickly became messy and hard to learn from.
Being a curious person, I kept digging into learning science and I discovered that there are proven ways to progress.
So I started building woofLogs for myself.
It helps me with:
- quickly capture what happened
- keep track of context (not just “success/fail”)
- suggests progress progression steps.
It’s still being shaped by real training (and trainers) and work in progress. I would love to hear your feedback!
