It never tells you how much time is left, and that is the part you actually feel. Wick draws every deadline as a wick that is already burning. The line is the time you were given. The flame is now. Everything behind it is gone. Then it gives each kind of deadline its own room, because a loan, a Netflix bill and a wedding do not behave the same way. Here is what is in each one. ━━━ 🏠 The board ━━━ Everything burning at once, shortest fuse first. You see what is about to run out before you have read a single word. Make your own sections for the parts of your life, Work, Family, whatever fits, and each keeps its own rules for what counts as urgent. ━━━ 💳 Bills ━━━ Every subscription and standing cost you have. A bill does not expire, it loops, so it rolls on renewal instead of turning red. The last day you can cancel without paying again is marked right on the wick. Open the calendar and the month is laid out: every bill on the day it falls, each with its own logo, and the month's total at the top. Tick one to pay it and the term rolls straight on to next month. Then there is What If. Your bills as wicks sized by what they cost, so the expensive ones are simply longer. Tick a cancellation and the flame goes out. Type a cheaper plan and watch what you keep, per month and per year, count up as you decide. Nothing is committed until you say so. ━━━ 🏦 Loans ━━━ Every loan drawn as a row of candles, one per month still owed. Log a payment and one goes out. Pay early and the payoff date moves in. The Snowball is the reason this section exists. Every loan becomes a relay of flames: clear the smallest and its payment rolls onto the next, so each one burns faster than the last. Drag in what you can spare each month and watch your debt-free date walk toward you. Add the interest rates and the Avalanche order unlocks, showing the real money each order saves. So you can decide what being mathematically right is actually worth against the feeling of clearing a small one first. ━━━ 🎯 Plans ━━━ Anything you are saving toward. A trip, a wedding, a new laptop. It counts down to the day and tracks what you put aside each payday against what you should have by now, so you find out you are behind while there is still time to fix it. Reach Sooner points the Snowball idea at saving: spare money goes to the nearest date first, and a finished plan's instalment rolls onto the next. The dates never move. You just arrive early, and Wick tells you how early. ━━━ 🎬 Releases ━━━ Films and shows you are waiting for. You do not type the date. You type the name. Wick looks it up with live search, and for a series it works out how many episodes and how far apart, then spaces the whole run across your calendar and marks what you have watched. Bring your own key: Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, a local model, anything speaking the OpenAI API. It sits in your Keychain and talks straight to the provider. ━━━ 🤖 AI usage ━━━ The selfish one. I kept hitting my Claude limit with no idea how close I was. Point it at your Claude or Codex plan and it shows how much of the window you have used and when it resets, asked of the client itself rather than guessed. OpenRouter and Kimi report the credit actually left. ━━━ 💰 Budget and Saving ━━━ Your salary as one wick for the month. Loans, bills and plans each burn a stretch of it, and what is left past the flame is genuinely yours. No categories to maintain, no receipts to photograph. It already knows what you owe, because you told it once. There is an emergency fund target and a saving suggestion built from what is actually left, not from a percentage someone invented. ━━━ 📥 Where deadlines come from ━━━ Almost nothing starts life in a deadline app. It starts in your inbox. Connect a mailbox and turn a message into a wick without retyping it. Calendar events and reminders convert with a click. Wick reads titles only, and never sends, moves or deletes anything. Checkpoints mirror into Apple Reminders, so the warning reaches you even with Wick closed, and clears itself when you finish. Counted in working days if you want, with your own weekend and holidays. And when a wick burns out with no answer, Wick offers to chase it, every working day if you like, until it is done. Because the problem is usually not your memory.
