I'm excited to announce the free Personal plan for Whitespace!
I grew frustrated with the we did bug reports in previous teams. To write a good bug report you need to convey a lot of information. It takes effort, is time consuming and feels like a chore. So, instead, a lot of bug reports tend to be too short on info and too ambiguous. This creates necessary back-and-forth between reporters/product managers/developers.
Some golden nuggets:
⏲️ One minute recordings: for complex flows you can record up to one minute
🔙 Time travel: save the last minute of your current tab as a recording
🙈 Privacy filter: removes passwords and tokens from the UI and requests (custom privacy filter on the way)
🐑 Carbon copy: recordings are an exact copy of what happened. So you can use your regular devtools to inpsect html and css.
A recording consists of: html & css, console logs, http requests, navigations, user interactions, local/session storage.
Whitespace is a Chrome extension and lets you create the perfect bug report without writing a single sentence by allowing you to record everything that happens in your browser when the bug happens.
Send the recording off to a developer and they will know exactly what, how and when.
