I built Whispen because I wanted voice typing to feel like something I could actually use every day, not just try once and forget.
Most tools I used felt too limited, too cloud-dependent, or too awkward to fit into real workflows. I wanted something faster, more practical, and more private.
So I built Whispen for Mac:
• free local AI voice typing
• instant streaming text as you speak
• privacy by default
• one account across Mac and iPhone
On iPhone and iPad, I also added the features I personally wanted in a real keyboard, like long-form capture and paste-to-translate without switching apps.
Over the past few days, I’ve been polishing both the Mac and iOS experience heavily, trying to make the product feel more complete, more natural, and more useful in daily life.
