I made Werds because I always wanted to try a unique take on the "letter grid" type word game genre. I was inspired by some off the giants in the genre like SpellTower but wanted to put my own spin on it. I thought rather than removing found words, what if they stay on the board? What if you can rotate and move them to manipulate the letter layout and find different words? I tried it and it added a new element of strategy, so I ran with that idea... And then since the word tokens are permanent, I let the user arrange them if they wish into a silly message to send when they challenge a friend.
