Week Zero
A free learning platform with real IT work simulation
A free learning platform with real IT work simulation, built to keep your profession relevant in the age of AI. You learn by doing: short theory, hands-on tasks, then a simulated work week where AI teammates send you tasks. Every answer is graded against clear criteria, and each week ends with an interview. Courses: Build an LLM from scratch (Python runs in your browser), Product Manager (AI), Systems Analyst and Data Analyst. English and Russian. Try day 1 without signing up.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm Daniil, a product manager, and I'm building Week Zero solo.
I want anyone to be able to learn an in-demand profession and try a real work process, even if they can't afford to pay for education or online courses. AI is changing jobs fast, and many people will need to retrain. I believe education in the age of AI should be free.
Week Zero is a free learning platform with real IT work simulation. The courses teach by doing: a week has 5 workdays with short theory, a 3-question quiz, then teammates message you with tasks. You tag support tickets, write SQL, design an A/B test, call a REST API, write Gherkin scenarios or Python checked by tests. Every answer is scored against explicit criteria, and you can rewrite it to raise the score. The week ends with a recruiter-style interview; finish a course and you get a certificate with a public verification link.
The flagship course, "Build an LLM from scratch", takes you from your first line of Python to your own small GPT in 7 weeks. Python and NumPy run right in your browser, so there's nothing to install. A bonus week moves it to PyTorch on your own PC. There are also courses for Product Manager (AI), Systems Analyst and Data Analyst.
It's free, no card, and day 1 of every course works without signing up. Grading works without AI and your code runs in your own browser, so costs stay low; a live AI mentor is a bonus with 100 free requests. The companies in the scenarios are fictional. English and Russian.
It's brand new, so please be blunt: where did you get stuck, and which score felt unfair?
