I built Wauvel for my mom.
She runs a bath & beauty company — and she's brilliant at it: the products, the brand, the customers. But the financials were a black box. QuickBooks open in a tab, an accountant at tax time, and still no real answer to the questions that actually matter: Am I making money? Where's my cash going? What should I do differently this month?
So she'd call me (I come from finance). I'd pull her statements apart and explain, in plain English, what the month actually meant. Every time, the same reaction — "oh, THAT's what's going on."
And it clicked: she isn't unusual. Most small business owners can see their numbers. Almost none of them have someone to read them for them. That's what a CFO does — but if you're small, you can't justify hiring one.
Wauvel is the thing I was doing for my mom, automated.
