I built WatchParty because I was tired of terrible screen-share quality whenever I wanted to watch a movie or show with friends remotely. Google Meet or Discord screen shares always compress the video, drop frame rates, or ruin the audio.
WatchParty solves this by separating the video stream from the video call. Using custom browser extension hooks paired with WebRTC and WebSockets, we synchronize native video playback across all participants down to the millisecond—while keeping high-quality face-to-face video chat running smoothly alongside it.
