Hi everyone! I'm Evi, one of the founders behind Voya.
The idea came from a frustration I kept running into after every trip.
I'd post photos from somewhere I'd travelled, and a few months later friends would message telling me that they're going there to, and ask me for what to do there. I always felt like I had a much better answer in my head than what I could actually give them. I'd forgotten the name of the neighbourhood I loved, the café I'd recommended to people initially, or the activity that ended up being my favourite part of the trip. Those memories were scattered across my notes app, Google Maps, Instagram saves, photos, and group chats, so piecing them back together was always tedious.
The opposite problem happened when I was planning a trip myself. I'd think about visiting a city, but I'd have no idea which of my friends had actually been there, whether they enjoyed it, or what made it worth visiting. The best recommendations always came from people I knew and trusted, but there was no easy way to find or revisit those experiences.
That's why we built Voya. It's a place to review the destinations you've visited, keep a record of your travels, discover places through people you trust, and plan where you want to go next, all in one app. We're still early, so we'd love your feedback! If there's something that feels confusing, a feature you'd like to see, or an idea that would make Voya more useful, we'd love to hear it.
