I built VoiceType because I was tired of switching between mic apps and my actual work. I wanted something invisible — press a key, speak, done.
The core idea: hold Ctrl+Space anywhere on Windows → speak → release → your words appear exactly where your cursor is. No copy-paste, no app switching.
Built it with Python + PyQt6, powered by Groq's Whisper large-v3 (fastest inference I could find — under 1 second for most phrases).
FREE tier gives you 50 transcriptions/day — enough to try it properly. PRO removes the limit.
