Voice CBT diary with offline AI
Keep a CBT thought diary by voice, not by typing.
Mentalium is a CBT thought diary you keep by voice instead of typing. When anxiety hits — in the car, in a queue, mid-panic — you answer five CBT questions out loud, and an AI model running directly on your phone transcribes them and fills in the diary. One entry takes 1–2 minutes, not 15. Nothing leaves your device: your voice and notes stay fully private, offline. Before/after anxiety scales and charts show your progress, and a one-tap report hands your therapist your real week.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Pavel, the founder. Mentalium came out of my own story. A few years back I went through anxiety and depression, and what pulled me out was CBT — specifically the homework between sessions: catching an automatic thought the moment it hits and writing it down. The problem was I could never keep the diary. Notebook was never on me, typing a painful thought with my thumbs while shaking just doesn't happen, so I'd fill it in two hours before the session from memory — the one way it's guaranteed not to work.
One day it hit me: I talk to myself in my head all day, but the moment I need to capture it I'm forced to type. So why not just say it out loud? That's Mentalium. You speak the five CBT questions like you'd vent to a friend, and an AI model running on your phone turns it into a structured entry in 1–2 minutes — in the car, in a queue, mid-panic. It runs on-device, so your voice and your darkest notes never touch a server, and it exports a clean report for your therapist in one tap.
It's not a replacement for therapy — it's the between-sessions tool I spent years wishing existed. I'd love your honest feedback, especially if you've ever started a thought diary and quietly abandoned it. I'm here all day 🙏
