The idea for Vocla came from a frustration I kept running into: AI is moving incredibly fast, but Arabic speakers are still being left behind, especially when it comes to voice technology. Most AI voice platforms are built around English. Arabic is usually an afterthought, and when it's supported, the voices often sound robotic, struggle with dialects, or simply don't sound like how we actually speak. I wanted to change that. Not by building another text-to-speech tool, but by making AI voice creation genuinely accessible to Arabic creators, startups, and businesses, without expensive subscriptions or technical complexity. As I started building Vocla, the vision grew. What began as a focus on natural Arabic voices evolved into a complete creative workspace for voice generation, cloning, dubbing, transcription, music, and now AI video. One thing I learned during development is that having powerful AI models isn't enough. The real challenge is making them useful, affordable, and simple enough that anyone can get value from them in minutes. So I focused on bringing the best available AI technologies together, refining the experience around Arabic dialects, and keeping the pricing accessible. Vocla launched recently, and seeing hundreds of people sign up organically within the first week, including our first paying customers, was incredibly motivating. We're still early, but the mission is pretty simple: Arabic speakers shouldn't have to settle for second-class AI experiences. I want Vocla to help change that.
