Hey everyone! 👋 I’m Brad, the creator of VocalTies. I built this app because I was honestly just getting exhausted by the constant noise. We consume so much negativity every day (whether it's through devastating global news, toxic algorithms, work politics, or heavy social issues) that I realized I desperately needed a brief, daily dose of positivity to counterbalance it all. But in trying to solve that for myself, I realized a fundamental truth: every single one of us is walking around with positivity inside us that we can share. We all carry life lessons, resilience, and words of encouragement. What if there was a simple way to take that hard-won positivity and hand it to a stranger who is currently in the dark? That’s why I built VocalTies. It’s a very quiet audio app that only does one thing: 🎙️ You record a 60-second positive thought or piece of advice to brighten a stranger's day. 🌅 In return, you wake up every morning to a single positive voice note from someone else in the world. There are no feeds, no back-and-forth DMs, and no metrics to obsess over. To keep it a completely safe space, the app analyzes the audio to instantly filter out any toxic or profane content before it even uploads. I built this because I needed a little more light in my day. I'm sharing it on Product Hunt just in case you do, too.
