I built this because I can explain a code change out loud much faster than I can type it, but the dictation tools I tried kept making me copy text back into the editor, which killed the point. VocalCode is deliberately narrow: hold a key, speak, release, and the text lands in the field you were already in. Recognition runs on your own machine after the model downloads; the trial, updates and licence checks are what still need the network. What I actually want to hear is where it breaks. Windows can't inject into an app running as administrator, some secure fields reject synthetic input, and the Mac build is Apple Silicon only. If a specific app or text control fails for you, tell me which one — that's far more useful to me than a compliment.
