vNetMap
Zero-Knowledge Network Topology Mapping
Most cloud network mappers force you to hand over your sensitive infrastructure data. Self-hosted alternatives lack the convenience of remote access. vNetMap bridges this gap. It combines automated Nmap discovery via a local Docker agent with a cloud dashboard built on strict Zero-Knowledge E2E encryption. Your topologies, IPs, and hostnames are encrypted client-side via AES-GCM. We physically cannot read your data. You get full SaaS convenience with the privacy of an offline tool.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Fabian, the creator of vNetMap. The Problem: I built this because I was incredibly frustrated with how network documentation is usually handled. You either manually draw Visio diagrams that are outdated the second you save them, or you use an automated cloud-based mapper and have to hand over your entire internal network structure (IPs, hostnames, open ports, physical links) to a third-party server in plaintext. Neither option felt right. The Inspiration: I wanted the remote convenience of a modern SaaS, but with the strict data privacy of a completely offline, self-hosted tool. The Evolution: When I started, the goal was just a simple automated scanner. But as I worked on it, I realized the real challenge wasn't just discovering the network, it was doing it securely. I ended up completely redesigning the architecture to implement strict Zero-Knowledge End-to-End Encryption. Now, a lightweight local Docker agent handles the Nmap scanning, and all sensitive data is encrypted client-side via AES-GCM before it ever leaves your network. The backend only stores encrypted blobs and is completely blind to your actual infrastructure.
