Visual Crosswords is a word puzzle game with a unique twist: instead of written clues, each crossword comes with an image full of visual hints. Study the picture, spot the details, and figure out the hidden words. Built natively for Android with Jetpack Compose. Fluid performance, intuitive touch controls, and beautifully designed levels. Available in English and Spanish. A solo indie project born from a love of puzzles and a desire to do something different with the crossword format.
I’m an indie developer, and I built Visual Crosswords as a passion project in my free time. I've always loved word puzzles, but I noticed that most crossword apps on Google Play feel outdated, run on sluggish legacy code, or crush the fun with non-stop aggressive pop-up ads.
So, as a hobby, I decided to craft a modern, premium alternative. Built entirely from scratch using Jetpack Compose, the game delivers fluid performance, a fresh visual-clue system, and a clean UI that respects the player.
This is a solo project made from the heart, and my biggest reward would simply be for you to enjoy playing it and keeping your mind sharp as much as I enjoyed designing the levels. I’d love to hear your honest feedback, thoughts, or ideas for new puzzle packs!
