I'm a designer from Kobe, Japan — not a programmer. I built Virgo Rhythm Synthesizer entirely with AI assistance, learning Web Audio as I went.
What makes it different: there are no samples. All 12 tracks are real-time synthesis — oscillators, ring modulation, noise generators, filters, envelopes. You're not playing back drum sounds, you're designing them.
The latest update rebuilt everything: a new industrial-design UI, and four kits I tuned by measurement and ear — a dry 808-style electro kit (with cowbell, of course), a vintage rhythm-box kit with bongos and claves, a dusty lo-fi kit, and an industrial kit with fuzz and ring-modulated zaps.
It's completely free, works offline as a PWA, supports MIDI controllers, and exports WAV. No account needed.
