VigilVault

Site monitoring + a credential vault that outlives you

VigilVault watches your websites, APIs and servers from four global regions and alerts you the moment they go down. But it also stores the logins and licence keys that run your business in an encrypted vault, with a legacy handover so a trusted person can recover access if you no longer can. Uptime monitoring and business continuity in one tool. Free tier that works and premium tiers from £5/mo. UK-built, GDPR-friendly.

Top comment

Hi PH 👋 I'm Tom, the maker. VigilVault started with a growing concern I had: I run several small businesses and multiple websites, and if I got hit by a bus tomorrow nobody could get into anything. The domains, the hosting, the API keys, all locked behind logins that only I had. Every uptime monitor tells you when your site goes down. But as far as I'm aware, none of them answer "what happens to the keys to the kingdom if you go down?" So I built both into one tool: • Uptime/SSL/domain monitoring from 4 regions, with alerts to email, Slack, Discord or webhooks (and more coming soon) • An encrypted vault (libsodium, encrypted at rest) for the credentials that run your business • A legacy handover: nominate a trusted person who can recover access if you're ever unable to, with a check-in delay so it only ever triggers for real It's deliberately simple and cheap (from £5/mo) because it's built for solo founders and small teams, not enterprise ops desks. There are free tools too (SSL/domain/DNS/"is it down?") you can use without signing up. I'd genuinely love your feedback, especially on the continuity side. What would make you trust a tool to hold that?
