Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Sam, and I built Vigil.
It started with my own AI bill. I was running agents for my projects and spending money I honestly couldn't afford, with no idea which agent was burning it or why. On top of that, a call would go in looking perfectly fine and come back as some mysterious error, and I'd lose hours figuring out what went wrong.
So I built Vigil for myself. One URL between my apps and the AI providers, logging every call: what it cost, how long it took, what failed and why. Then I made it optimise the spending automatically, without changing a single answer.
It worked so well that I started sharing it with friends running their own agents. They liked it enough that I decided to turn it into a proper product.
