This project started because of one surprisingly annoying problem.
Every time I came back from a trip, someone would say, "Show us your photos!" And every time I found myself choosing between bad options: passing my phone around, setting up screen mirroring, logging into cloud storage on someone else's TV, or sending photos through a messenger.
None of them felt simple. And some of them weren't very private.
So I built the tool I wanted to have.
With ViewPhoto.TV you open a page on any TV or computer, scan a QR code with your phone, choose only the photos you want to share, and they're on the big screen in seconds.
No app.
No account.
No cables.
No screen mirroring.
One thing I learned while building it is that sharing photos isn't the same as sharing your phone. Those should be two completely different things!
From a technical side, the whole product is built with Next.js and deployed on Vercel. That stack let me move from idea to a working product incredibly fast and spend my time improving the experience instead of managing infrastructure.
ViewPhoto.TVis still just the beginning and absolutely free to use. I'm already working on more ways to make sharing memories on any screen simple, private, and instant.
