A recording that stops before the camera finishes writing it (dead battery, crash, card pulled out) usually keeps every frame but loses its index, so no player will open it. Most repair services upload your video to their servers first. This one doesn't: the repair engine runs inside your browser and reads the file from your own disk.
How it works: it finds the frames in the broken file, borrows the encoder settings from a working clip from the same camera when it needs them, and writes a new index around the original bytes. No re-encoding, so the picture and sound are the camera's own.
We test it frame by frame against the original on real files from GoPro, DJI, 70mai and Tesla cameras and a Samsung phone. The check and a 5-second preview are free; you pay only to download the repaired file, with a refund if it doesn't play. The same engine is in our Android and Windows apps.
