I kept noticing the same gap in my own day: the coding agent is running for 40 seconds, I tab out, and there's nothing low-stakes to land on. Twitter's noisy, games are usually "one more quest" pressure. I wanted the opposite — something I can open, place a roof, close, and feel fine.

So Vibestead is a cozy village builder aimed at vibe coders. No combat, no stamina grind, no FOMO events. You shape the island at your own pace: buildings, decorations, layout, whatever your brain wants. It's deliberately quiet — the point is the calm, not the completion bar.

What's in right now:

- Free-form village building

- Save & pick up whenever, no daily reset punishment

- Light progression that doesn't nag you

- Browser-based, loads from the page

Still rough in places (first load pulls assets, some UI is early). But if you've ever wanted a tiny town that exists just for the downtime between prompts, this is it.

Would love to know: do you prefer zero-goal sandbox, or a little gentle direction (like "a villager wants a bakery")? That's the thing I'm still tuning.

Upvotes help a tiny indie game reach more tired coders today 🙏
