AI voice dictation that runs entirely on your Mac. No cloud, no subscription, no data leaving your device. On-device Whisper and NVIDIA Parakeet models work in any app — IDE, browser, email, wherever your cursor is. Beyond dictation: voice-powered notes, tasks, AI text commands, custom dictionaries, and web search via Perplexity. Optional BYOK cloud mode: bring your own OpenAI/Groq/Deepgram key, pay providers directly. Pro license from $19.95. One-time. Forever.

I started building VibeSonic about a year ago. I was using various cloud transcription tools for my own development workflow and kept hitting the same problems: monthly subscriptions for something that should run locally, audio being sent to servers I don't control, and tools that only did transcription when I needed a full voice-first productivity system. So I built what I wanted: a native Mac app that runs Whisper and Parakeet models entirely on-device, works in any app where you can type, and goes beyond dictation into notes, tasks, AI commands, and voice-triggered text editing. The BYOK model for cloud features means users who want GPT or fast cloud transcription can add their own API keys and pay providers directly — I never see their data or their bill. Everything is my own code except a handful of open-source libraries and the AI models themselves. I built my own licensing system on Cloudflare Workers so there are no recurring infrastructure costs to pass on to users. That's what makes the lifetime license sustainable — the app runs on the user's machine, not my servers.
