Hey everyone 👋 I'm Abinav, a solo dev India, and VerifiedMRR is my attempt to fix something that's been bugging me for months. The problem: Indian SaaS founders have no way to publicly prove their revenue. Global platforms like TrustMRR exist, but they only work with Stripe. 80%+ of Indian startups run on Razorpay — so we had nothing. Fake MRR screenshots have become the norm. Buyers don't trust numbers. Investors waste time on due diligence. Founders with real revenue can't flex it without handing over sensitive API keys. What I built: VerifiedMRR lets Indian SaaS founders connect their Razorpay account via secure read-only OAuth. We pull their real subscription data directly from the API, calculate verified MRR, and display it publicly on a leaderboard. Founders get a verified badge, a shareable card for Twitter/LinkedIn, and can list their startup for acquisition. No screenshots. No self-reported numbers. Just real, verified ₹. The journey: To pull revenue data safely, I needed OAuth with read-only scope — which meant becoming an officially approved Razorpay Technology Partner. As a solo sole proprietor with no funding and no team, I had no idea if this was even possible. 6 weeks of emails, a Google Form, a technical glitch while tagging my MID, multiple calls with their Enterprise Partnerships team, and a full technical audit later — I got approved. As far as I know, I'm one of the first solo indie devs in India to get this access for a revenue verification use case. What evolved along the way: I originally wanted to build a full acquisition marketplace with escrow. Castler (India's biggest digital escrow) rejected me because they only work with Pvt Ltd entities. So I pivoted — VerifiedMRR is now a discovery and matchmaking layer. Deals happen off-platform between verified buyers and sellers, the same way 99acres connects real estate without handling the actual property payment. The scope shrank, but the core problem stayed the same: give Indian founders a way to prove real revenue.
